One Tub. Hot and Cold.

One tub. Cold and hot, from the same water.

Most plunges only chill, so contrast work means a second vessel or a trip somewhere. This runs 1°C to 40°C on its own — a 1 HP compressor to pull it down, a 1 kW heater to bring it back up, set from the touchscreen or your phone.

Ozone and two-stage filtration keep the water clear for weeks.

DualTech: Heater and Chiller

Level your slab first

Took it off the pallet with help from a couple of blokes up the road, onto the pavers, which were not as level as I'd thought so there was some packing underneath with offcuts. Filled it from the laundry tap with a hose out the window, took the better part of an hour, and it was cold by morning.

I was the one saying no

My partner wanted one for about a year and I kept saying it was that kind of money for a bath. What changed my mind was using it at his brother's place over a hot weekend in November. I use the warm setting more than the cold, which he finds hilarious. Still think it's a lot. No regrets though.

Setup easy, app less so

Carried it down the side of the house with a mate, sat it on the pavers, filled it with the hose and plugged it into the outdoor point. Cooling by lunchtime. The app was the annoying part, it kept dropping off my mesh wifi and took a few goes before it stuck. Fine ever since. Wouldn't do the lifting alone.

the freezer's on gumtree

Ran a chest freezer out the back for a couple of years with a pond pump zip tied to the lid. It worked, sort of. Had to defrost it when the ice built up on the walls, the water went green if I didn't stay on top of it, and I never really trusted the wiring out there when it rained. Wife hated it. So we bit the bullet. This turned up, we wheeled it into position (get someone to help, it is genuinely heavy before there's a drop of water in it), filled it off the garden hose and that was about it. Sits cold and stays cold. No ice runs, no defrosting. What I didn't expect was how much more I actually use it now there's no faffing about first.

Perfect

used to do the inflatable tub and chiller separately. Continuous leaks and problems, this thing is absolutely perfect.

chose it because it was here

Compared it against a drop in chiller with a stock trough, which is cheaper on paper, but once you've bought the trough and something to stand it on you're not saving what you think, and it looks like a farm. Everything else on my list was pre order and I wanted it for January, not April.

measured it with a plug meter

Engineer, so I put a plug in energy meter on it the day it arrived and left it there six weeks. Pull down from mains temp (about 24 in Melbourne in January) to 3 took a bit under four hours the first time, near enough to what they claim, and it drew 4.2 kWh doing it. Holding at 3 with the lid on averaged 3.1 kWh a day across January. Worst single day was 5.4 during that run of hot ones. February is tracking under 2.5. At 41 cents a unit that's a bit over a dollar a day in the worst month, less than I'd budgeted for. I had compared it against a drop in chiller in a trough, and yes, a smaller chiller would be cheaper to hold, but it's also a lot less water and I'd still have had to buy the tub. Stacked up fine for me.

Lives in the carport

It's in the carport up against the wall where the second fridge used to be. Concrete's level there, which is what mattered. Ran an extension lead off the laundry for the first week which the sparky told me off about, so there's a proper outdoor point there now. It's out of the sun most of the day and I reckon that's half the reason my bills haven't jumped the way people warned me. Neighbours think I'm mad. Fine by me.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can it really do both hot and cold? +
Yes — 1°C to 40°C from the same tub, same water. A 1 HP / 3 kW compressor pulls it to plunge temperature and a 1 kW heater warms it for a soak. Most plunges only chill, which means contrast work needs a second vessel or a trip somewhere. This does the full cycle in one unit, and you can leave it set wherever you want it. Set it from the touchscreen or the app.
How often do I need to change the water? +
Every 6–8 weeks. Ozone sterilisation plus two-stage filtration — 20 micron and 40 mesh — does most of the work. Compare that with a bathtub-and-chiller setup, which needs fresh water every one to two weeks. The filtration is the main practical reason to buy an integrated tub rather than a drop-in chiller. Between changes: rinse the filter bucket when debris builds up, and rinse yourself before getting in. Filters are $15 and take about a minute to swap.
How heavy is it, and will my floor take it? +
113 kg empty and around 415 kg filled with 300 L of water. That's fine on a concrete slab, a ground floor, or a deck rated for it. On a suspended timber floor or anything above ground level, get it checked by a builder or engineer first. We'd rather you asked than found out. It's 1950 × 800 × 710 mm, so measure your doorways and the path from the kerb before ordering. Two people minimum to move it, and freight delivers to your kerbside or ground-floor entry rather than into the room.
How long does it take to cool down? +
About 3.5 hours to bring 300 L from 20°C to 3°C at 25°C ambient. That's a supplier bench figure and we'll replace it with our own measurement over the coming months in Australian Heat. After the first pull-down it holds temperature and recovers quickly between sessions. Real performance moves with ambient temperature, your starting water temperature, and how often the lid comes off.
How loud is it? +
50 dB — around the level of a quiet conversation, or a dishwasher two rooms away. It's quiet enough for a courtyard or a balcony without annoying a neighbour. It isn't silent, because there's a compressor and a pump in it.
What's the warranty, and what happens if it breaks in year two? +
24 months, and we pay warranty freight both ways within Australia. Our default for a confirmed fault is replacement of the part or the unit, not a repair queue. That covers the cooling and heating systems, the controller and display, the pump, and structural defects under normal domestic use. It doesn't cover freeze damage from water left in the unit below zero, or damage from power surges and shared circuits. Beyond 24 months your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply and aren't limited by our policy. On a tub at this price, "reasonable durability" under the ACL is considerably longer than two years.
What if I don't like it? +
14 days to decide, and because this one is in stock we can be more generous with it than the built-to-order tubs. If it isn't for you, email us and send it back to Adelaide. Full refund, no restocking fee. You cover return freight capped at $500 and we'll pay the rest, which on a 113 kg crated tub is most of it. You can also cancel free any time before it's dispatched
